Biography

American classical guitarist Francis Rodezno enjoys a multifaceted career as a performer and music educator in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. From a young age, he traversed the worlds of classical, jazz, and popular music on piano, trombone, and drums under nationally recognized teachers before picking up the guitar at 17 years old. Under the tutelage of John Schneiderman and Alexander Dunn, Francis earned a Bachelor of Music degree in 2024 from UC Irvine. Currently honing his professional skills, he is engaged in postgraduate study with Douglas Lora at Cal State Fullerton.

As a performer, Francis offers the full range of the classical guitar's many voices-- during one of his concerts you can expect to hear Baroque masterpieces, Latin-American grooves, contemporary works, and arrangements of popular music. He is consistently praised for his musicianship, technique, and rich sound in solo recital and chamber music. As a teacher, Francis passes down to his students what his mentors have instilled upon him; strong technical and theoretical foundations so that any student finds greater facility in discovering their own unique musical identity. Patience and open-mindedness have been his strongest virtues in supporting those who study with him.

A lifetime of performance experience, along with continued study under some of the world's finest musicians have cultivated a deep sense of musicality within Francis, one which he is eager to share with his audiences.
